Textile products inspection quality QC check:

What do we check for textile products in preshipment quality inspection? We will normally check as follows:

  • Special client's requirements & on-site testing
  • Fabric defects checking
  • Stitches
  • Foreign objects like broken pins, human hairs
  • Customer's specs
  • Packaging, labels and markings
  • Thread ends
  • Stain, mould, odor and insects
  • Measurements (Size charts)
  • Color differences and shifting
  • Rub test

Perform a barcode-scanning test-The barcode should be scannable and have the correct number; make sure that that the correct barcode is on the correct product. (no mixed barcode for each reference)-S2  Checked on 5pcs  PASSED 
Perform a rub test and an adhesive test-Perform the rub and adhesive test on all of printing, marking and logo found on the product: Use alcohol if petroleum spirits is not available for rub test; Use 3M tape for the adhesive test on the silk-screening and painting. -S2  Checked on 5pcs  N/A 
Needle Damage check - Pull the seams by hand in toughly force and check if there is any needle holes caused by the needle machine - perform this test on all the seams -double check and take a pictures especially for” waistband, leg hem, pocket seam, front and back rise...” -If the needle damage holes were found, then the sample size increase to S4, Record how many pcs with needle damage were found from the sample size S3  Checked on 13pcs  FAILED
Check  the  Care  label  content  and
symbols-1pc for each size each reference,  the content match with the client’s requirement and  fabric composition. 		 Conformed to ref. sample  PASSED
Perform quantity and assortment check in each package   Checked on all samples  PASSED
Perform metal detecting test  Not metal found PASSED
Zipper test - pull through the rivets/zipper/ Velcro and snap it should be resistant-The zip should lock when it closed - The zip should not open from the middle - the stress should be focus on the bartack-20pcs  Checked 20pcs  PASSED
Symmetric check - check if the right/left leg, sleeves, pocket design are symmetric - check if the garment twist and measure the difference if found  Checked on all samples   PASSED
Check the smell of product/filling is bad smell? Checked on 5pcs  FAILED
Washing test using soap, no color fading for cotton fabric  No color fading for cotton fabric  PASSED
